Best Friends + Blinks

A few blinks (blog links) on this lovely Friday...

So happy to have discovered the mid-century graphic design work of Lora Lamm (thanks to Riflemade)

Like I always say, miniature makes things better (via Ohdeedoh)

Thinking about switching up a few things for spring and am extremely tempted to splurge on this painting pillow for the sofa...(spotted on Oh Joy)

Such a gorgeous, dreamy table scape (via Style Me Pretty)

 Peace. (spotted on Mocking Bird)

Holy wow. This moroccan stenciled staircase is blowing my mind. And it's yellow. (via Style Files)

Oh IKEA, you make me smile. Love the styling in this scene (spotted on Live Creating Yourself)

The ladies behind Sweet Notions emailed me recently and I think their business concept is awesome. The company up-cycles fashion accessories in order to create social change. Visit their website to find out more and how you can become involved. (I think these Michael Kors wedges are perfect for spring!)

I'm fairly certain that West Elm's spring line of sheets was designed for me (via Little Green Notebook)

Hey there, lovers. Any grandiose plans for the next few days? I am very much looking forward to a girl's weekend with my two best friends. I am hosting, since neither has seen the house yet. The three of us are like peas in a pod (that's actually our nickname from high school) and it's been awhile since we've gotten together for some quality time. I'm psyched!  Can't wait for the inevitable laughter + wine combination that is likely to characterize the entirety of their visit. Until Monday, friends.

Have a great one.

Sayonara 2010 + A Few Blinks

Rounding out with a few New Year's Eve blinks (blog links)...

Coveting this sweatshirt so badly. (spotted on Size Too Small)

Mmmmm. Dulce de leche can do no wrong (via Seesaw)

Would I spend $48 on a bottle of olive oil? Probably, but just because it looks like this. (via Oh Joy!)

Simple truth from a favorite artist. (spotted on Patterson Maker)

Hello pretty office space. I like you muchly. (spotted on Delight by Design)

How cool is this juice box film camera? So cool. (via Swiss Miss)

Beautiful painting by new-to-me artist, Jenny Parsons (discovered via Amateur Couture)

Because sweaters should go on everything. (DIY tutorial from Sweet Paul)

So fitting. (printable poster by idea-obscura)

Peace out, 2010. You've been stellar. Plunging into 2011 with a big smile and open arms. Oh, and lots and lots of Prosecco. Time to go draft a few resolutions. Catch you all back here in the new year! xo.

Reading Room

Lately, I've been fantasizing about redoing our little home "office" into a cozy reading room. Currently, it serves more as our house's dumping ground and I'd really love to get rid of the over-sized desk, bulky office chair and cheap organizational shelving. It is the one room in the house I dislike and I'm fairly certain it's because it lacks both prettiness and cohesiveness. I rarely venture past the doorway and Tiho mostly uses it to play video games on the desktop computer. Ideally, we'd make it more of a sitting room with a smaller desk/table nestled in to preserve a space to work.

This transformation is definitely going to take some time and knowing me, probably won't even begin to transpire until well into 2011. For now, I'm just enjoying the process of collecting inspiration.

Weekend Blinks + Projects + You

Yeah! Enjoy this week's edition of blinks (blog links):

I'm dreaming of this view and a relaxing Swedish get-a-way, thanks to Bliss

I'd rock 'em. (via That's Happy)

Loving these pretty floral lampshades spotted on Bleubird

I hope I always have an adventurous spirit (image spotted on Automatism

Newest addition to my wish list:  The Kate Spade & Strand Bookstore collaborative Short Story Collection (discovered on A Lovely Being)

How cool is the happy blankie?  It was designed by a 7-year-old and for every one sold, another is donated to a child in need. (via Ohdeedoh)

How do I become as glamorous as The Glamourai?

Such a serene work space spotted on It's Mary Ruffle

I need more bookshelves. (via The Neo-Traditionalist)

I'm really feeling the cape trend this fall and winter and love this feminine one I saw on Chasing Heartbeats

Pink pink pink, pretty pretty pink via One Sydney Road

Oh my word. It's been one of those weeks. I didn't get home until 11:00 pm three out of the past four nights due to work and school events, so I'm grateful for a totally plan-free weekend. I'm hoping to do a little crafting--some small projects, perhaps a bit of painting. I've been itching to create lately and never seem to find the time to just sit down and do it. What are you looking forward to this weekend? Whatever it is, I hope you have a lovely one!

P.S. Also want to say a huge thank you to all of you, my glorious, witty, awesome, beautiful readers. I've really felt the love these past few weeks and it often blows my mind that people actually enjoy reading my various bits & baubles and wiggles & shakes on here. Please introduce yourself if you're a silent lurker (don't worry, I'm guilty too). Sending you all into the weekend with a big wet kiss (and a pretty handkerchief to wipe it off).

Work Space

I am quite taken with this office space spotted over at Apartment Therapy. Granted, for practicality purposes, I am in need of considerably more wall storage space, but it sure is pretty, isn't it?
