Light Chasing
I took these four photos earlier in the week. They have nothing to do with one another aside from the fact that I love the light in each.
Backstories:
Photo #1: Those teeny tomatoes are growing along the entire right side of our house thanks to our downstairs neighbor who planted a few bushes earlier in the season. She knocks on our door at least once a week to present us with an overflowing container.
Photo #2: I did a double take when I walked by this spiky yellow plant. It's so striking! Anyone know what it's called?
Photo #3: I've been playing around with portrait detail & perspective lately. Gratuitous self-portrait.
Photo #4: The funniest thing about this sign is the establishment it represents serves neither espresso nor cappuccino. (It's a pizza parlor).

Love the sign even if all you can get there is pizza!
ReplyDeleteit IS really good pizza, and just half a block from our house.
DeleteYou are so good at capturing the light in your photos, Kayla. That one of the yellow plant {no idea what it's called!} is stunning.
ReplyDeleteHow funny that the pizza place doesn't sell either of those things!
Ah, sweet sweet light!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking tones to all of these captures!
ReplyDeleteThose pics look amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love the eye shot.
