Last week, I met up with Becca for a brunch date at Peels, a downtown hot spot we'd both been eager to try for awhile. We shamelessly did what two lifestyle bloggers do best; take pictures of our food and each other.
Isn't she cute?
I can't speak for her order of muesli & fruit, but my fried eggs, hash browns and crispy bacon were delicious (it's not obvious at all which one of us is the nutritionist).
The atmosphere at Peels is warm, inviting, light-filled, and impossibly hip. I felt like I should have kicked it up a notch and worn a topknot or something. I will certainly return in the near future to sample more of the menu.
Thanks for the (always pleasurable) company & conversation, Becca! Can't wait to do it again soon.
(Do you read Becca's blog, The Daily Muse? If yes, you already know she's awesome, and if no, then start today. She's a keeper).
Love that you two are "in person" buddies too, and that you have "dueling" peels posts today, hehe. :)

ReplyDeleteFor what it's worth, I would have ordered exactly what you did and enjoyed EVERY bite. :)
Victoria, it's one of the reasons I love having a blog: blog pals turn into real life pals.
DeleteAnd yes, I tend to order to richest, most indulgent menu items when trying a new place. Can't help it.

I second Kimia - blogger meet up at Peel!! :)
ReplyDeleteI've never been! Since I saw it on another blogger's page a few months ago, I've been wanting to try it out. And for the record, I would have totally gone with the same brunch - nothing beats hash browns and bacon in the morning (or any time, for that matter).
ReplyDeleteYay, so much fun! Becca's the best - looks like you had a great morning! :)
