Scenes From The Weekend

A gigantic glass of sangria enjoyed with two girlfriends from graduate school kicked off my weekend. We gabbed and laughed and reminisced about years past and how fast this one has come and gone.

I feared my Saturday was a wash when I developed a migraine midday, but after a two-hour nap and good ole' Excedrin, I was mostly recovered and able to enjoy the second half of the day. I indulged my feet with a salon pedicure, ran lots of errands and ended the night cuddled next to T catching up on our favorite shows.

After Sunday morning breakfast in bed, we ventured out to hike a nearby reservation (more on that soon). Afterwards, I parked myself on the couch to finish up necessary work obligations before unwinding for the evening with a hot cup of herbal tea.

All in all, I'd say the weekend presented as nicely-balanced with work/play. Yours too?
