Hark The Herald Angels Sing

It is Saturday morning, and I am curled up in the corner of my couch tucked under my favorite knit throw with an espresso in hand and the volume turned up high on Christmas Radio.

Fat snowflakes are spinning in every possible direction outside.

It's my first weekend day "off" in weeks, and this is how I'm planning to spend the majority of it. We're attending our friends' annual holiday party tonight: I'm going to brave the snowstorm with heels and a new dress, because that's what you do this time of year.

Tomorrow, we're shooting the vow renewal wedding ceremony of close friends and then I have only four days of teaching left (including a field trip to see The Nutcracker) before the GLORY that is a two-week winter break. A real live break!

Anyhoo, just wanted to check in during this brief respite. I hope you're able to carve out your own time for some quality merry-making and holly-jolliness.

  1. Feed the world your sweetness,Kayla Piskuliyski
Gentle as a lamb, but heartier than whiskey
I love the way you live your life
    In such sartorial splendor
But walk the balanced path between
    A saver and a spender,
And like each snowflake, you're unique
With warm creative ways you tweak
    Each moment to remember.
    Con molto amore,
