December's Joy

1). Moroccan Mandarins. Tiny, juicy, sweet and perfectly disassembled into the shape of a flower. Who could ask for anything more from a seasonal treat?

2). Gold glitter votive candles on sale for $2 at the craft store. I almost bought an entire crate, but Tiho gave me "the look."

Here's to a delicious, light-filled Wednesday!

  1. That Moroccan Mandarin flower? Swoon!!! I have a big bowl full of clementine oranges from Corsica right now... I'll try to make them "bloom" as well. Shall I send you a photo if it works?? xoxo

  2. I would SO be right there with you, hoarding those gold glitter candles! I might have to pop over to my craft store and see if they have any on stock.

Glitter + candle = two of my fav things together. Does it get better?

  3. Buying up anything glittery is a good thing! Here's to the light!

  4. We just bought a box of "Sweetie" mandarins. They are so, so small. Every time Sawyer eats one he remarks on how it is "so cute!"

I love candles at Christmastime. Time to stock up, I think!

  5. Someone in the office started eating a mandarin just seconds before I saw that first image, and the smell is absolutely perfect.

  6. That picture you took with the candle in the foreground and the tree lights in the background? Yeah, it's all kinds of awesome!

  7. There are a few things about winter that I love -- one is clementines (which I'm assuming are cousins to mandarins). I could seriously eat several a day during these months...and I do. :)

I have gotten the look from Chad so many times before. It's the only thing that will make me put down the fabric and step away from the children's books.

  9. I think you should run back and get the crate. They'd be so gorgeous all over your apartment!! And a Moroccan Mandarin? Sounds (and looks) delicious. Happy weekend, my dear!

  10. That candle is so pretty that it's totally worth getting "the look" (something I'm very familiar with) :-)
