Everyday Resplendence

Back in August, I made a small book highlighting some of my favorite instagram photos on blurb.com. It only cost me $10 + shipping. So often, it seems as though the photographs I snap vanish into the oblivion of my hard drive; safe, but forgotten. It's one of my reasons for maintaining this blog; to preserve, yes, but also to revisit and reminisce. This 7x7 photo journal now sits on my coffee table offering a tactile bundle of memories. I plan to make at least one a season from here on out.

Below, a selection of pages. The title came to me spontaneously while formatting the layout. It conveys exactly what I strive to capture, both in my photos and my writing. Enjoy.

  1. I am SO ordering one of these. Your's looks fab, especially like the ferris wheel and traffic light snaps.

  10. Kayla, what a brilliant idea! I adore the title and all your photos are so lovely -- they definitely deserve to be bound up in a book. Maybe I'll make my own little one -- it could be a great holiday gift.
