Ours, actually. Located in the 18th arrondissement, a few blocks east of the center of Montmartre and only one block from the metro: it was inexpensive and suited our needs perfectly. I found it through Airbnb, which is my new go-to source for travel accommodation. We didn't spend much time there (sleeping, mostly), but I couldn't be more in love with its understated charm. The juliet window/balcony was my very favorite feature--especially at night, when the stars seemed to waltz, as if calling with a reminder that everything surrounding us positively sparkled.
Oh the joy of windows that open sideways. I miss them so much! You can actually pop your head and more out, without a fear of getting a head concussion.....
ReplyDeletei just scrolled through all your paris posts - what a dreamy vacation!! and not JUST because you got engaged, although really, getting engaged in paris? dreamy!!
ReplyDeleteNothing like lace curtains.
ReplyDeleteOh darling, what a perfect little Parisian apartment! It reminds me of Gigi's pied a terre!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of this site before, but I'm going to have to give it a go. What a brilliant idea!
ReplyDeleteThe little balcony is darling!
ReplyDeletewhat an awesome apartment! It must have made it seem like you were "living" in france instead of just being a tourist. Which I think is super important.
ReplyDeleteThat window, with its lace and scrolls, sets the mood beautifully. Even the balconies are romantic here.. lovely!
ReplyDeletewell i just died. this is ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness---I can't get over this apartment and the surroundings. GORGEOUS. This makes me want to go to Paris immediately.
ReplyDeleteAirbnb, you say? Yup, I'll definitely be using them in the future! Especially if I can land such a sweet place. It's lovely! And so Parisian too.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you had a good experience with that site! Your place was so charming, I love the lace curtains!
ReplyDeleteThat second photo is gor-geous! I love the idea of staying in an apartment like this, sounds like you got the full Paris experience!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I can't remember what the place I stayed at was called because it was a couple years ago + it was so last minute. We ended up changing our accommodations at the very last minute (while in Paris), but I'll definitely have to mention it when I (finally) get around to my Paris travel post!
This was just the information I was looking for, great resource.
