it's so beautiful!! my grandparents came over from sweden when they were young folks. they changed our name and banned the swedish language in the home so they could be seen as more american. sad, sad, sad. but we apparently have a big family over there who want all of us long lost american members to come visit. i just need that plane ticket, but whenever i see photos of sweden like this, i wonder if i'd ever come back. off to convert the price of that cute house to US dollars. :)
Beautiful on the outside and inside! I love how Europeans are so willing to paint their homes in bright colors. It really adds to the charm of a place. I just remember the doors in Dublin and other parts of Ireland. Every time I walked down a street, it put a smile on my face. I think it's time to go back, don't you?
I LOVE bay windows! I recently came back from a trip to San Francisco and was amazed at the unique and quite cute architecture of their houses. All of them had bay windows and I bet tons of light inside. I don't understand why the architects in the NYC metro area never picked up the idea...
Also a note on the white floors and carpets there...I don't know about the rest of Europe but at least in Bulgaria it's customary for a guest or owner to take off their shoes when entering a home. In addition to showing respect, this also helps to keep those whities clean without spending a lifetime scrubbing....
Lots of lovely fresh natural light and I love those striped sheets. Just add a few more brights (maybe some oversized flower arrangements in hot hues) and I'm sold!
okay thats pretty freaking amazing. when i see homes like this abroad (and then find out how reasonable the price is) i always wonder why in the world i want to live in the states!

ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm sold! Just need to pack us all up and get us on the next plane to Sweden!
ReplyDeleteWorth the move to live in the house of your dreams on the sea...
Hmm, so maybe it's because I don't speak {or read} Swedish, but I can't find the price on that site anywhere! How do I know if I can afford it? ;~)
ReplyDeleteWow I would love to go there to vacation. I love it when houses have matching or complimenting colors.
