It was 12 degrees and pitch black when I left for work yesterday. My hot pink trapper hat helped to keep the sting at bay, but the reality of it is, January in New York isn't all that fun.
Impossibly juicy citrus, sparkling blue skies and steadily persistent gold-potted plants remind me that even in the heart of winter's brutality, there's always,
always a chance for warmth and life.
Beautifully put in words, Kayla! I totally agree with you on January...it's the same here in Munich! Cheers, Igor
ReplyDeleteOh Kayla this is beautiful. It's the little things isn't it.
ReplyDeleteHappy new year lovely lady xx
January in Boston isn't much fun either, Miss Kayla. I feel your pain.
ReplyDeleteLondon is oh so chilly as well!
ReplyDeleteWould you hate me if I told you I'd trade, just for a week? SF can be hard because there isn't any seasonal change-it's hard to know where you are in the year!
ReplyDeleteKeep cozy, darling.
beautifully put & I love that vibrant orange :)
ReplyDeletetotally not mentioning the hot weather & long days happening here (of course, I am on the other side of the world!)
Oh, actually any time in NYC is amazing! It's my favorite place in the world (yes, in the World!), even in the middle of Winter.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this post, Kayla!! Thanks for the reminder. You take such pretty photos!
ReplyDeletesuch beautiful photos. happy weekend, kayla!
ReplyDeleteSo can we plan a baking/lounging/teach Brandi how to use her camera better day? You capture such exquisite moments beautifully. And yes, even in winter there is warmth and life.
