Home Inspiration: Neest

Over the holidays, I spent several delicious hours swept up in the archives of this blog. And, if I could, would happily purchase the entire inventory from the shop. So much beautiful inspiration at Neest.

I am mesmerized by the simplicity of these images. To me, the aesthetic is flawless and similar to the "feel" I seek to convey in my own home. I'm not sure how to describe it exactly, other than how each photograph--regardless of subject--seems to evoke a story. Lots of little stories that translate as peaceful, calm, authentic and lovely.

Also, I may or may not be turning into a crazy cat lady.

P.S. If you're interested, a charming interview with Neest owner, Sandrine Pigeon.

  2. I completely agree - I don't know how she does it but Neest just somehow gets it so utterly right. Each image evokes such a serene peaceful happy calm... And as for the little kitten - yeepers I would happily become a crazy cat lady for a wee cutie like that!

  5. Oh my, you are killing me with these kitty images!! The cutest things ever! Also, you are not a cat lady if you have three or under kitties. (Maya's rule:)) I am gathering courage to get my own little fur ball and my boyfriend fears the moment when he'll be second in the house!

  6. These images are gorgeous, and the kitties are beyond! Don't feel bad about becoming a crazy cat lady, I am definitely a crazy dog lady and I only have the one little dog. It is unavoidable they are just too cute!

  7. How did you know exactly what I needed this morning? I so wanted to curl up in bed forever instead of dragging myself into work in the cold!

  8. Elizabeth, the problem is the lack of cats in my life. I don't have one currently. I just dream about them.

Elsa May, I want to crawl inside her creative brain!

Will, glad to provide some new inspiration. I have to keep up with your daily awesomeness.

Jane, your home, (at least what I've seen of it), accomplishes this. :)

Maya, ha! I am gaining courage to ask my landlord. (we don't have one yet).

Em, I grew up with dogs and want to have them eventually (probably when we have kids). I'm in a kitten phase that has lasted well over a few years, which makes me think it's about time I take the plunge and add a furry new member to the family...

Lena, it's because you and I share a brain. Didn't you know??
