Home Inspiration: A Berlin Flat

These images make me so happy. A perfectly relaxed, light-filled interior, filled with flowers, eclectic art, minimal furnishings and herringbone wood floors (Oh my word, those floors!). Why don't they make apartments like this in the U.S?

This one belongs to Malin Elmlid, a Swedish-born woman currently living in Berlin, Germany. She's been in the fashion industry for several years, as the head of sales at Wood Wood, a European-based clothing line, with shops in Copenhagen, Berlin and Denmark. If that isn't cool enough, Malin also founded The Bread Exchange, due to a desire to share her passion (baking bread) with others. Go here to read a comprehensive interview with the lovely Malin and to see more images of her stunning space.

Malin, your home is beautiful. If you ever want to do a vacation home swap, you know where to reach me :)

  3. Ah, love the vintage look! And that chair is a simple DIY project with the right wood tool, too!
